EIE SPECIAL EVENTS
EIE is proud to present the following events that are designed to provide you with
a wide variety of activities, sales, authors and speakers.  It is our hope that these
events will enable you to become better informed parents / teachers thus
empowering you to be a more successful homeschool parent.

JULY 20-22 LEVEL B  GRADES 4-6
AUGUST 16-18  LEVEL C  GRADES 7-10

DAY 1:

Day one introduces the Unit I/II method of note making, and a few "dress-up"
techniques, rewriting both a fiction and non-fiction article.  Day one PM presents the
Unit III story sequence chart, adds a few stylistic techniques, using a short fable or fairy
tale, with options to vary the characters and setting.

DAY 2:

Day two introduces Unit IV; how to write research reports.  A simple research process
using a set of animal "Mini-Books" for isolating topics, note taking and writing a short
research report are taught.  Gradual expansion of the style checklist adds a few
"Sentence Openers."

DAY 3:

Day three jumps to Unit VII, creative writing, where students transfer the skill of note
taking from source material to taking "notes from their brain" to write about something
they know from their life, experience, or imagination.

Registration, student notebook, and packet full of additional lesson plans for home use.
