by Ben Bahan.  Bahan's fable, Bird of a Different Feather, is about the different-looking bird within a family of

raising it. This is an odyssey familiar to many Deaf people.
This course will comprise of 9 chapters (on the teachers DVD) about 35 minutes total split up over two weeks,
three days a week, a hour and a half each day. Each chapter will consist of the 3-4 minute video watched in class

questions, 1-2 page reading handout and class discussion.  The literary questions and reading will be done in
class as time allows and completed as homework.

SCALE MODEL MAKING
SUMMER PROGRAM

Robert Stuard will be offering a summer camp this summer for anyone interested in model making.  Designed to be geared
for all levels of proficiencey t his can be a wonderful way to learn more about mocel making.  Please refer to the class
description below about the regular class during the year.  The class wil be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:
00 - 12:00.  Please contact Robert for detailed information about the class.

OK, we know that your are thinking that this is a class for making model cars, planes or boats from plastic kits.  Well, guess
what, you are wrong!  This is a real modeling class that will teach the student how to create (conceptualize) from basic
building blocks to fantastic creations of three dimensional items, much like an architect would build to present his ideas to a
client.  Through the use of basic mathematics, a ruler, matt board, scale woods, plastics glue and other building materials
you will create model buildings or other objects using the blue prints and woriking in 1/4" scale.  The
student will learn how t take a vision (concept) and convert it to a fantastic three dimensional object.  This will be a great
class!!  Parents are encouraged to attend at not additional cost to observe and participate in the class.
